I have been gardening organically for 40 years, these days mostly at one of the Valley Community Gardens. Whether I’m tending my own perennial garden, cultivating an educational garden on a farm, or facilitating community gardens, I love to get my hands in the dirt!
I have studied with the best: Organic farmers, permaculturists, landscape and flower designers. I follow organic methods, working to achieve a balance in nature and leave the soil more enriched than when I found it.
Please consider joining us at one of the many communally run gardens across Lower Naugatuck Valley. We are always evolving, working to make more fresh produce available to residents at a time when putting healthy food on the table is increasingly difficult. You are welcome no matter what level of experience you have.
For more information, email us at [email protected] to get connected with the garden closest to you. We have gardens in Shelton, Seymour, Oxford, Derby and Ansonia, CT, and are always welcoming new hands.
